Software-update: All My Books 2.6 build 1133

Bolidesoft heeft versie 2.6 build 1133 van All My Books uitgebracht. Met dit programma is het mogelijk om je boekenverzameling te catalogiseren. Zo kun je snel zien hoeveel boeken je van een bepaalde auteur hebt of welk boek je aan wie hebt uitgeleend. Boeken toevoegen is kinderspel; het inkloppen van de titel is voldoende. De overige informatie - zoals samenvatting, isbn, uitgever, aantal pagina's en een afbeelding van de kaft - wordt uit een van de vele boekendatabases op het internet gehaald. Ook is er ondersteuning voor e-books, die direct vanuit het programma kunnen worden geopend. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:

• Option to delete linked book files upon deletion the book from the collection. Turned off by default, of course
• "Reset dialog" button to the Book Search dialog
• "Hide toolbar" option to the "Display area" tab in the Preferences
• Ability to quickly reopen the last 10 books with the special button near the "Open book" button on the toolbar
• Calculating playing time for audio books

Ja dit werkt. In het menu zit een optie "Add using ISBN". Vervolgens kun je het nummer handmatig invoeren of via een barcode scanner.

Ik zelf prefereer Goodreads.com

Het is online, gratis en er zijn apps waarmee je makkelijk ISBN codes kan scannen.

Goodreads in samenwerking met Calibre is ook heel erg fijn. Er is namelijk een add on voor Calibre van Goodreads waarmee je je shelves kan beheren. Dan hoef je dus niet elke keer op de site in te inloggen maar kan het gewoon lekker makkelijk vanuit Calibre
