Nokia heeft voor zijn mobiele telefoons van het type E72 nieuwe firmware uitgebracht met 071.004 als versienummer. Deze update kan zoals gewoonlijk met behulp van de Nokia Software Updater worden binnengehaald, waarna de firmware naar de mobiele telefoon kan worden doorgezet. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om gebruik te maken van fota en wie dat allemaal te ingewikkeld vindt, kan binnenlopen bij een Nokia Service Punt.
