Philips heeft op zijn website nieuwe firmware voor verschillende van zijn lcd-tv's uit de 5000-, 6000-, 7000-, 8000- en 9000-series uitgebracht en hieraan het versienummer 0.140.27.0 toegekend. Hierbij moet worden vermeld dat het modellen uit 2010 betreft die van de codenaam Q55xx zijn voorzien. De lijst met veranderingen van deze uitgave ziet er als volgt uit:

) is dat de TV nu wel direct het geluid van de zender waar je heen zapt laat horen en wat later pas het beeld ziet. Voorheen was het gewoon stil tot er beeld kwam. Het zappen lijkt daar door korter te duren, maar van beeld naar beeld is nog steeds een aantal seconden.
