Firmware-update: QNAP NMP-1000 1.1.8 build 0903

QNAP heeft voor zijn NMP-1000 mediaspelers nieuwe firmware uitgebracht met 1.1.8 build 0903 als versienummer. Deze firmware is in zowel een NTSC- als een PAL-smaak binnen te halen. De mediaspeler beschikt over hdmi 1.3, ruimte om een sata-harde-schijf te installeren en een gigabit-netwerkaansluiting. De lijst met veranderingen voor deze jongste uitgave ziet er als volgt uit:

• Support subfolder playback of video, music, and photos ("Option" -> "Play all")
• Support CUE sheet in music playback (APE format)

• Support automatic resume of music playback after system restart
• Support WD2001FASS hard disk drive
• Support real-time caching of YouTube video playback (requires internal HDD installation)
• Update info screen on TV GUI and webpage icons

Major Bug Fixes

• Fixed YouTube video issue due to the protocol change
• Fixed the loud volume issue during the playback of MKV files
• Fixed FTP encoding problem
• Fixed failed firmware update if the file is located in a folder named with spaces

Known Issues

• After enabling file categorization, watched movies will also be listed under "Unwatched movies"
