De ontwikkelaars achter µTorrent hebben versie 2.2 build 21882 bèta van deze BitTorrent-client uitgebracht. Op dit moment is de 2.0-tak stabiel, is 2.2 in ontwikkeling en moet 3.0 als de experimentele tak worden gezien. Nieuw in versie 2.2 is onder andere de mogelijkheid om downloaden automatisch te pauzeren zodra activiteit op de computer wordt waargenomen. Verder wordt er nu ook een dialoogvenster weergegeven voor magnet-links en zijn diverse verbeteringen aan de proxy doorgevoerd. Hieronder is te vinden wat er allemaal in deze release is veranderd.
