Software-update: Philips ToUcam 1.3

CAP-Team geeft aan dat Phillips een update heeft geplaatst voor de mensen die ToUcam gebruiken. Er is geen changelog te vinden maar wel een readme waar bijna alles instaat.

Known issues:
The application installer sometimes makes a long time-out (up to 10 minutes) between the installation of the applications. Just be patient and wait until the application installer proceeds (appears in Windows XP only).

kleine aanvulling uit de readme:

Laat ik vooral hopen dat de webcam wat stabieler wordt, hij loopt me onder XP regelmatig klem..

The ToUcam PC Cameras The PCVC720K/00, -/17, -/20, -/90, PCVC730K, PCVC740K
and PCVC750K are Windows XP Plug and Play compatible. This means that
Windows XP will recognise the camera when it is plugged in and will install
the drivers automatically without the need of a separate installation CDROM.

Waarom doet ie het bij mijn 720K/20 dan niet?

Ik heb hier het zelfde probleem. Aanvankelijk deed ie het wel via plug and play, alleen kon ik niet opnemen. Totdat ik de software/driver ging installeren. Toen kreeg ik alleen nog groen beeld. Uninstallen hielp ook niet meer

Dan heb je waarschijnlijk eerst die software op de CD geinstalleerd en dan doet je webcam het niet meer nee....
Maar daar zou deze nieuwe driver een oplossing voor moeten bieden, succes dus!

Wat ook handig is, is de timershot functie in Windows XP Powertoys. Hierdoor heb ik de softwareset van ToUCam niet nodig, via USB herkent XP dexe toch al.

hmmzz dus net de zooi geïnstalleerd.. maar stabieler.. nee

Waarom brengen ze een nieuwe installer uit als ze gewoon een keer nieuwe drivers moeten uitbrengen

ik gebruik gewoon de Xp-drivers zolang deze drivers niet helpen. Scheelt je weer installeren van drivers die de camera-crash toch niet verhelpen.
