Nokia heeft een nieuwe versie uitgegeven van zijn Mail for Exchange-applicatie met 3.0.50 als versienummer. Hiermee kun je een mailbox raadplegen die op een Microsoft Exchange 2003- of 2007-server staat. Daarnaast kun je de normale dingen doen zoals mails beantwoorden, afspraken plannen en contacten uitwisselen. Voor meer informatie verwijzen we naar deze Nederlandstalige handleiding in pdf-formaat. De lijst met veranderingen voor deze uitgave ziet er als volgt uit:

- Subfolder Support
- All user created folders can be synchronized
- Initially, inbox and Sent Items are synchronized
- Folders not being synchronized are prefixed by “(x)”, as in “(x)Junk E-mail”
- Users can change the synchronization state of folders by:
- Selecting the folder
- You can synchronize the email a folder by selecting “Subscribe to folder” from the options menu
- You can stop synchronizing email in the folder by choosing “Unsubscribe from folder”
- Can move emails from one folder to another (except Sent items).
- Note: Only 1 email can be moved at a time
- The default view of messaging is changed by the installation of MfE 3.0 to the two line view as the one line view does not correctly count the number of emails. This can be changed the messaging settings.
- Folders cannot be managed (created, deleted, renamed or moved) from the device.
- View HTML email
- Emails that are in HTML format can now be viewed in HTML
- Select “Show as HTML” from the options menu in the email view to view the content in HTML format
- Available only when synchronizing to Exchange 2007 servers
- Default “Sync while roaming” is now set to “No”. Mail for Exchange won’t synchronize when roaming by default. The user must change the setting to “Yes” to enable Mail for Exchange to synchronize when roaming.
- Phone Wins sync option: In previous versions of the Mail for Exchange client, the Phone Wins option did not work when changed after the first sync. This option now works whenever set.
- Improved Synchronization stability: Several synchronization defects have been fixed. Specific items that had caused email and calendar synchronization to stop working have been corrected.
