Adobe heeft een update van zijn standalone DNG Converter en Camera Raw-plugin uitgebracht. De plugin is geschikt voor Creative Suite 4, Photoshop CS4, Photoshop Elements 8 en Premiere Elements 8 van Adobe. Beide programma's stellen je in staat om de verschillende raw-formaten van digitale camera's direct te openen of om te zetten naar DNG, een open gedocumenteerd bestandsformaat van Adobe. Het versienummer van beide uitgaves is vastgesteld op 5.6 en beide zijn voorzien van de volgende veranderingen:

Support for the following cameras has been added in this update.DNG Converter 5.6 and Camera Raw 5.6 provide a fix for an issue affecting PowerPC customers using the final Camera Raw 5.5 and DNG Converter 5.5 updates on the Mac. The issue, introduced in the demosaic change to address sensors with unequal green response, has the potential to create artifacts in highlight areas when processing raw files from Sony, Olympus, Panasonic and various medium format digital camera backs.
