Verleden week is de eerste release candidate van versie 0.22 van MythTV beschikbaar gekomen. MythTV is een verzameling van programma's waarmee onder Linux tv-programma's kunnen worden bekeken en opgenomen. Ook kan door het installeren van plugins functionaliteit worden toegevoegd, zoals het browsen op internet, het bekijken van foto's en het afspelen van muziek. Versie 0.21 is alweer anderhalf jaar oud en er is dan ook een hoop veranderd aan MythTV. Hieronder is een overzicht te vinden van de belangrijkste veranderingen:

- Windows port improvements
- Mythbrowser now uses webkit and has no dependencies on KDE libs
- MythMusic has fewer external dependencies
- MythTV switches from Qt 3.4 to Qt 4.4 libraries [16790] (No changes affecting end-user!)
- MythPhone has been dropped
