Dinsdag is er een nieuwe bèta van µTorrent verschenen. Het eerste wat opvalt is dat het programma niet langer versienummer 1.9 draagt, maar een upgrade naar 2.0 heeft gekregen. µTorrent is een zeer complete BitTorrent-client die het geheugen en de processor nauwelijks belast, en ook de grootte van het programma zelf is minimaal. De belangrijkste verbetering in versie 2.0 is de ondersteuning voor uTP: een manier van datatransport waarbij hoge betrouwbaarheid en minimale latency's de speerpunten zijn. De laatste ontwikkelversie dateert alweer van begin april en het changelog van deze release is dan ook lang:
