TotalIdea Software, bekend van onder andere Tweak-XP Pro en TweakVI, is onder de naam Tweak-7 bezig met de ontwikkeling van een soortgelijk programma voor Windows 7. Dit tweakprogramma kan zowel overweg met de 32bit- als de 64bit-uitvoering van Windows 7 en ondersteunt sinds kort ook build 7127. Na installatie kan het programma maar twee weken worden gebruikt. Dat hoeft geen probleem te zijn, want er zullen regelmatig updates worden uitgebracht. Sinds de vorige release in de Meuktracker zijn er diverse nieuwe releases geweest en is de status van bèta 1 naar bèta 2 verhoogd. Hieronder zijn de veranderingen te vinden sinds build 505:

- The Tweak-7 Control Panel applet was incorrectly displayed as a 32bit applet on 64bit machines
- this has been fixed
- The 'Hide disk drives' feature was not working
- this has been fixed
- Fixing several unlogical behavior issues in the CD cache feature
- Several improvements to the RAM Disk feature (32bit systems only)
- On 64bit systems, 32bit MS Office products were not properly detected. This has been fixed in the System Information section, and the Outlook tweaks section
- Improved System CleanUp feature
- the feature now searches for even more unneeded files
- The Tweak-7 setup will now migrate application settings to any future version of Tweak-7 that will be installed. However
- this will work up from the next build as this build includes the migration code that all future builds depend on.
Changes in beta 1.0 build 522:
- Fixing some issues in a date-time conversion routine in the 'Auto shutdown' feature
- Fixing an issue in the System Cleanup feature where the IE cache was not cleaned if the cache path was not at the default location
- Fixing a critical issue in the Registry Cleanup feature which accidentally listed valid 32bit application registry keys as invalid on 64bit machines
- Fixing an issue that caused the 'Details' view in the System Cleanup results not to show up
- Improved registry cleanup
