Woensdag is er een nieuwe alpharelease van µTorrent 1.9 uitgekomen. µTorrent is een zeer complete Bittorrent-client, die het geheugen en de processor nauwelijks belast, en ook de grootte van het programma zelf is minimaal. De belangrijkste verbetering in versie 1.9 is de ondersteuning voor uTP: een manier van datatransport waar een hoge betrouwbaarheid en een minimale latency de speerpunten van zijn. Het changelog van deze release laat de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen zien:
