Het programma CloudVPN is het werk van ontwikkelaar Exa nadat hem enkele limitaties van andere vpn-implementaties in de weg zaten. Met CloudVPN is het mogelijk om een vpn op te zetten dat zich voordoet als een meshed-netwerk. Over deze verbinding kunnen vervolgens alle op ethernet gebasseerde protocollen gebruikt worden zoals IPv4, IPv6, IPX en IGMP-multicasts. Version 1.0.7:
CloudVPN went through packaging so we now have an ebuild, SConstruct correctly accepts the options given in environment, manual page was born, etc. Next cloudVPN release is gonna focus on win32 support (which turned out to be kinda simple), and will have a form of optional easily controllable and supervisable user authentication for the environments where this is needed. (corporates and similar).
Version 1.0.6:
Lots of fixes, 802.1D bridging (finally), rewritten SSL verification (we now support CA trees, CRLs and similar stuff).
Version 1.0.5:
I finally solved the OpenBSD issues, so the port is working now. Also added bandwidth limiting, which is usually needed for real use.
