Nero heeft een nieuwe release uitgebracht van versie 9 van het gelijknamig brandprogramma. Nero bestaat uit een aantal programma's waarmee audio-, video- en databestanden op een cd of dvd kunnen worden gebrand. Daarnaast is het ook mogelijk om hoesjes te ontwerpen en te printen en video- en geluidsbestanden naar verschillende formaten om te zetten. Door deze veelvoud aan programma's weegt de download maar liefst 382MB schoon aan de haak. Voor versies 7 en 8 van Nero werden door enkele enthousiastelingen ook Lite- en Micro-uitvoeringen gebakken, maar voor versie 9 bestaan deze (nog) niet.
