Software-update: OnyX 1.9.2

OnyX is een programma om het besturingssysteem Mac OS X te onderhouden, te optimaliseren en te personaliseren. Het kan daarnaast ook logbestanden bekijken en een aantal instellingen aanpassen van verscheidene applicaties zoals Finder, Dock, Dashboard, Exposé en Safari. De ontwikkelaars van Titanium Software hebben versie 1.9.2 naar buiten gebracht die minimaal Mac OS X 10.5.0 of recenter nodig heeft. De lijst met veranderingen voor deze Leopard-smaak ziet er als volgt uit:

Fijn programma, alhoewel ik toch graag iets uitgebreidere functies zie voor bijv. defragmentatie ofzo, of een check of er losse bestanden aanwezig zijn die bij een niet meer bestaand programma horen. Al zijn dat meer Windows probleempjes.

Dat zijn inderdaad meer windows dingetjes. Defragmenteren was toch nooit nodig voor de Mac? Overigens, als je een 320gb schijf hebt, en alleen <80 gb gebruikt, hoef je sowieso al niet meer te defraggen. dan doet het bestastandssysteem het best genoeg zonder.

Goeie tip inderdaad. Had dit weekend font cache cleaning uitgevoerd met 1.9.1 waarna mn complete usermap leeg was! Sta je wel ff te kijken.
