Dinsdag is versie 3.96-7 van XP-Antispy uitgekomen. Met dit programma kunnen de automatische update- en legitimatiefuncties van Windows 2000, XP en tegenwoordig ook Vista worden uitgeschakeld. Dit is speciaal voor de mensen die last hebben van het zogenaamde 'aluminium hoedjes'-syndroom en bang zijn dat Windows allerlei privacygevoelige informatie naar het hoofdkwartier van Microsoft in Redmond stuurt. XP-Antispy is in verschillende talen te downloaden, waaronder in het Nederlands en Engels. Nieuw in deze release is de mogelijkheid tot het aanmaken van een profiel, zodat er eenvoudig kan worden teruggekeerd naar de situatie voordat het programma gebruikt werd. Ook wordt een optie nu alleen maar in- of uitgeschakeld door op het hokje te klikken en niet langer meer op de hele regel, om zo per ongeluk klikken te voorkomen. - At the first run you will now be aske if there should be created a profile of the system settings, so you can always see, what the settings where before you executed the xp-AntiSpy. After that you can find the created profile in the profiles menu
- The ckeckmarks in the checkboxes will now be shown/hidden only by a click on the checkbox icon. This prevents accidential de/selection if you click on the text of the setting.
- Bugs in the times server dialog fixed
- Now the whole application is compiled using unicode. This was to some issues in different translations.
