Driver-update: ATi Catalyst 7.3

New Features
  • OpenGL CrossFire™ Support Under Windows Vista
    Catalyst™ 7.3 introduces OpenGL CrossFire™ support for the entire ATI Radeon™ X1000 product series under Microsoft Vista. Users will see significant performance gains in a number of applications when running in CrossFire™ mode under Windows Vista.
  • CrossFire™ Enhancements for Windows Vista

Future Catalyst™ releases will add further CrossFire™ performance gains once new applications have been profiled specifically for CrossFire™.
Performance Improvements
    Dark Messiah Might and Magic performance improves 12.5% or greater on all Radeon™ X1000 series configurations when running in CrossFire™ mode under both the Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. Larger gains of 60% or more can be seen on high end products.
ATI's Folding@Home
    Folding@Home is a distributed computing project designed by the Stanford University. The application performs intensive simulations of protein folding. This simulation will help researchers uncover how certain diseases develop. Folding@Home uses distributed computing to simulate protein folding, the workload is broken up into small work units and distributed across hundreds of thousands of computers over the internet. You can help find the cure to many different diseases!

http://www.computerbase.d...ati_tray_tools/?url=11693
Iemand suggesties?

ATI Engineering has been advised of this issue and is investigating. Any updates will be published when they become available.
Grmbl, dat had ik dus ook. :>

gegaan.

The following versions of Catalyst are known to work with the GPU client:

* 6.5
* 6.10
* 6.11
* 7.2
* 7.3

The GPU client will work with these drivers with a significant performance hit:

* 6.6
* 6.7

The following drivers do not work at all with the GPU client:

* 6.8
* 6.9
* 6.12
* 7.1

CCC deinstalleren via config panel.

- installeer drivers
- reboot
