Uit de hoge hoed van KiSS Networked Entertainment is een nieuwe firmware getoverd voor de VR-558 digitale videorecorder. De firmware heeft versienummer 1.1.7 meegekregen en kan vanaf hier worden gedownload. De download bevat een isobestand wat op een cd gebrand moet worden en waarvan vervolgens opgestart moet worden. Er is dan de keuze voor een volledige of een gedeeltelijke update. Het verschil is dat bij de laatste de instellingen bewaard blijven. - Pressing MARK twice on the remote select/unselect all
- Pressing EJECT - BACK - 1 - 2 - 3 on the remote resets the Output to PAL
- Pressing EJECT - BACK - 4 - 5 - 6 on the remote resets the Output to NTSC
- Pressing 2 on the remote jumps 10 seconds backward while playing a recording.
