Redlum schrijft dat er een nieuwe versie is verschenen van GetRight, het populaire download programma. In versie 4.5b zijn veel dingen gefixt en daarnaast zijn een paar kleine features toegevoegd:

- Weird. It seems for some people a timer that has been there for ages now isn't working right; Can make it so in
- Automatic mode it doesn't move to the next, or other times it doesn't retry connects when it should.
- Fix so HOME, END, PAGEUP, PAGEDOWN keys on the download status enable toolbar things right.
- Fix for NVidia server that sends the HTTP headers wrong. GetRight should handle right and not end up with some of the header in the file. (To avoid this for now, can download from NVidia's FTP server instead of HTTP which works fine; or can use FileMirrors.com to try searching for the file elsewhere.)
- Fix a bug with not sending the right proxy password (sent anonymous email address "password" instead.)
- Fix a column width not remembering right on the Download Status, and Mirror Manager so it remembers its window position and size.
- Fix something that might have caused the tray icon to flicker with some Windows Shell replacements.
- Add some monitoring exceptions--main one for Morpheus/Kazaa so GetRight doesn't try to take over. You can also download the tiny registry update for Morpheus/Kazaa right here.
- For XP: Not quite 100% perfect, but for XP, have it draw the normal "Minimize Window" button backwards for GetRight's "Minimize to Tray Icon". Looks pretty good--much more like the normal XP titlebar buttons. Plus added the .MANIFEST thing too, so should look better with the new standard XP themes.
- Added "hidden" secret setting for anybody who reads this and wants to edit in the registry when 4.5b comes out. To set a background image for the Download Status list: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Headlight\GetRight\ResumeWindow BackgroundImage=" rel="external">path to the image And to set a background image for the GetRight Browser list: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Headlight\GetRight\BrowseWindow BackgroundImage=" rel="external">path to the image
- Increased the Mirror Options, switch server if slower than X bytes/sec limit to be much higher.
- For Daily Downloads, add %OVERWRITE% as a file-name special value--to always overwrite any existing file.
- Fix so browser should handle file names ending in a space better.
- Fix so double-clicking .GetRight files works if GetRight gets the Short filename version of the filename too.
- Fix so if PWD fails, it ignores it; should help some higher-security FTP servers.
- Change IE-right-click text that gets added to URL so shouldn't make the page not open if GetRight isn't running (-getrightdownload to #getrightdownload).
- Add so tray icon can be 256 colors for versions of Windows that support it. Looks a little bit smoother :-)
- Increase "make unique" numbering from 0-99 to 0-999.
- And probably a number of other things I've forgotten to put here...
- Add so prompt if another download manager has turned off GetRight's click monitoring has the "Always do this" checkbox to not get it again.
- Found another cause of some crashes & fixed. Added some caching for name lookups to speed up connections a bit.
