Software-update: µTorrent 1.6 build 474

Nadat eerder al enkele uren na het uitkomen van versie 1.6 build 472 van µTorrent build 473 was uitgekomen, wist Diddle ons te vertellen dat inmiddels build 474 alweer beschikbaar is. µTorrent is een BitTorrent-client met een lage geheugen- en processorbelasting, waarbij de downloadgrootte ook nog eens minimaal is. Buildnummer 473 werd nog zonder changelog geleverd (of beter; met hetzefde changelog als build 472), build 474 kent de volgende drie aanpassingen:

Fixed:

• Autoload would not copy the torrent under some circumstances
• No mark was shown in the Label selection menu for the selected label

Changed:

• Always merge trackers if loading a torrent in silent mode

Toen ik uTorrent vandaag startte vroeg hij of als ik wou updaten, ik kliktte op OK, utorrent sloot meteen af en 2seconden later startte hij weer perfect op met de nieuwe update en deed gewoon verder waarmee hij bezig was.

Super automatische updater dus!

Viel mij ook op ja, ik twijfelde er inderdaad aan of e.e.a. wel werkte, maar ging echt super!

Ik kreeg dezelfde update en ik klikte ook op ja. Toen dacht ik dat hij in Firefox (die ik open had staan) naar de µTorrent site wilde om te updaten, maar dat gebeurde niet. Wel was in een oogwenk µTorrent afgesloten en weer opgestart. Helaas had hij niet onthouden hoe mijn kolommen stonden, dus dat moest ik opnieuw instellen, maar ach jah dat was dan ook echt het enigste.

Perfecte service weer van µTorrent, en volgens mij is deze ook al iets sneller als zijn vorige broertje !

Dat heb je met een applicatie die geen Setup nodig heeft.

Overigens zou een progressbar oid wel makkelijk zijn, nu heb je inderdaad het idee dat er niks gebeurd.

Grote kans dat dit er binnenkort wel inkomt Het viel me ook op dat de executable zelfs 2 KB kleiner is dan v1.5.1.464 Heerlijk snel & toch uitgebreid progsel !

Zit die Progressbar er al niet in in 474... heb namelijk in de kolom "Klaar" een Blauwe-balk staan .

beetje jammer is dat als een cracker de site van de maker kraakt en een trojan ipv een update introduceert zit je met de gebakken peren..

nu ik er zo over nadenk is dat niet zozeer een probleem van automatisch updaten (met confirmatie..)

Eerste keer voor mij qua µTorrent, maar loopt als een trein.

Sinds ik 1.6 er weer opgezet heb, heb ik hetzelfde probleem als ik eerder met uTorrent had.

Als ik nu naar voorkeuren (preferences) ga, zie ik geen tekst meer staan. Ik zie alleen nog maar vakjes (met eventueel een vinkje erin) maar zonder tekst erachter.

Ik heb al een paar keer uTorrent opnieuw opgestart maar dat helpt niets?

Iemand enig idee wat het kan zijn?

Vind het nog steeds knap hoe ze zoveel functionaliteit in 170kb hebben weten te duwen. Zeker ook met een dusdanig goed uitgewerkte GUI.

Daarnaast is de automatische updater inderdaad ook erg netjes. Net zo minimaal als uTorrent zelf, maar het doet wel precies wat het moet doen.
