Het is weer eens zo ver, er is een nieuwe versie uit van ICQ. Het is geen nieuwe build van 2000a, maar een Alpha-versie van 2000b.Veel mensen laten zich afschrikken door het woordje alpha, maar bij ICQ maakt dit niets uit. De alpha-/betaversies zijn ongeveer gelijk en absoluut niet alleen voor professionals bedoeld.
Redelijk wat verbeteringen deze keer, waaronder een nieuw mooi rond opstartscherm en een mogelijkheid tot telefonie via de client en channels.
ICQ2000 4.50 Build 3223 kun je hier downloaden. Onderstaand wat info uit de release notes:
- There is a new design for User Details, a new menu on the left side of the dialog replaces the design tabs in previous ICQ versions. An additional Contact option highlights the concise information for the user.
- In the Message dialog you now have the option to send your message by email.
