Goim is de afkorting van Gamers Own Instant Messenger en maakt gebruik van het Jabber/XMPP-protocol voor de communicatie. Het programma wordt speciaal voor gamers geschreven en met dit programma kan je dan ook zien welk spel en op welke server je vrienden op dat moment spelen. De ontwikkelaars zijn druk bezig met het ontwikkelen en daarvan is versie 0.1.7 is de laatste vrucht die we kunnen plukken. De lijst met veranderingen ziet er als volgt uit:
The next release should be the first "stable" (whatever that means) release of GOIM with the version number 1.0.0 - So i would appreciat as much Feedback as possible for GOIM 0.1.7.
