TomTom Navigator is een bekend navigatiesysteem van Nederlandse bodem waarmee je probleemloos je weg kan vinden met kaarten van West-Europa, Noord-Amerika, Singapore en Hong Kong. Een add-on voor dit navigatiesysteem is CheckPOInt die de gebruiker attendeert bij het naderen van een Point Of Interest. Het wordt veel gebruikt door bestuurders om gewaarschuwd te worden voor flitspalen en trajectcontroles. Versie 5.0.1 is sinds kort beschikbaar met de volgende veranderingen:

- Solved the unstability problems.
- Added a page to the menu of TomTom Navigator, which makes it possible to access the CheckPOInt screens from within TomTom Navigator.
- First release of CheckPOInt for use with TomTom Navigator 5.0.
- Added a CheckPOInt plug-in for the "Today" screen of your Pocket PC. When you've installed CheckPOInt 5 on your Pocket PC, the Today plug-in will at first appear after you've reset the device
- TomTom Navigator 5 uses a different method for drawing up its screens. This new approach makes it more difficult to add visual information to the navigation screen. It is still possible, but the information will "flicker". If on your device the amount of flickering is acceptable, you can check this option and you will get visual information about CheckPOInts warnings. If the the flickering is to much, you can use the last option in the General Settings to switch off the visual information. You will still get the audible information!
