Op VIA Arena zijn versie 5.50a van VIA's AC'97-drivers te vinden. Deze zijn bedoeld voor een moederbord met on-board geluid middels een VIA-southbridge (VT82C686A, VT82C686B, VT8231, VT8233, VT8233A, VT8233C, VT8235 en VT8237) of een VIA Six-TRAC. Als downloads zijn een versie beschikbaar die alleen de Engelse taal, of een waarin meerdere talen zitten. Het changelog laat zien wat er precies in deze release is veranderd:

- Changed the Microsoft std. mixer's topology. Added Master Volume control and moved Front, Surround, Center/LFE volume controls to new created destination line.
- Fixed the bug called "CD volume control on Microsoft std. mixer had some problems".
- Fixed the bug called "SPDIF function couldn't work for VIA audio controller, after system resumed from sleeping state".
- Suppressed the dialog of confirmation while the uninstallation is executed by "Add or Remove Programs".
