Ordered a Dell monitor advertised as "new". Had problems getting the screen to display at the correct resolution and was in contact with Dell support who helped a lot to try to figure out the problem. No success but they did tell me that the screen was not new - it was refurbished. I bought two new video cards and spent hours with vendor support from the card manufacturers and Dell trying to get it to work and found some pretty odd results like not being able to disable EDID (monitor said it was disabled but the video card was still getting EDID info).

I returned the monitor, as it was within the EU "distance selling" cooling off period 4Launch had to accept that. But they totally refused to accept the monitor was a refurb. I got this confirmed by Dell support in writing. 4Launch was sellling refurbs as new and lying about it when I called them out.

Contacting the customer service to arrange the monitor return was fine until I told them I wanted them to pay the return postage. They told me I could send back the monitor (just under 500 Euros) on their free return postage option. But that is not insured. Seriously - a 500 Euro monitor sent back at my risk when the monitor was mis-sold. So I paid the return postage to have it insured. They completely refused to accept any responsibility. I spent a lot of time and money trying to get this monitor working and then got the brush-off when asking for them to at least cover insured return postage. "It's your choice to send it back insured, so you have to pay". It's just garbage to be treated like that.

Update 2016-12-17
Now 4Launch has replied to this bad review without actually reading and understanding the key issue regarding returning items using free postage. There is no insurance using their free postage option. When an item has been mis-sold, it is the least to expect that the seller refunds the postage. This is just a PR attempt to limit the damage to their repuation of their own actions. The actions of this company speak for themselves.

As 4Launch refused to accept the monitor was a refurb, my only option was to take legal action, to prove the monitor was a refurb and show damages. The return postage was about 15 Euros, so I was not going to waste more of my time and money to get 15 Euros back (I think 4Launch know this is the position they leave customers in). But I sure as hell want to let other people know what kind of company this is.
