Last week I bought two Kingston 8GB SDHC Class 10 cards. In my neighbour's D5000 they both failed after about 10 to 100 pics with the message "Cannot format memory card. Card may be defective. Insert another card." That's partly nice, since we did not ask for a format action! On the PC I could retrieve the jpgs and re-format the cards, but the same error re-appeared soon! Note that I formatted the cards in the D5000 too every time I inserted them. Looking at the famous brand Kingston, this seemed a great offer: a fast module for a nice price. However it worked only for 1 day in my Canon HF-100 HD video camera. The next day the camera didn't recognize the card and also my PC didn't recognize it. Recordings lost, and when you look in other fora more people have problems with this Kingston SD10/8GB. Luckily I only lost 1 day of recordings, but this memory card should not be sold anymore anywhere. The shop is replacing it of course, I am getting a Transcend now.
