That put aside, there are many options to choose from other than the connection type. For example, there is a random map generator that resembles the one in Simcity 3000. You can choose the number of hills and cliffs there are, how many cities in your map, the density of vegetation etc etc. The thing I like the most is that you can choose the time of day to play in. Of course there is an option to let the computer randomize one for you if you don't want to be bothered with the settings. Apart from the map itself, you can also choose whether to have your own base, whether bridges are destroyable or not, and others. In this aspect, you gotta give them full credit for this full configurability.[...] Overall, the multiplayer aspect is pretty well designed, with many options to choose from, people that aren't bored with RTS games in general will live another happy life in the RTS land of C&C.
