When creating a level, do you draw on personal experience? Like do you see architecture in real life and try and recreate it in your levels? Or do you design totally from your imagination?
Some of both actually. Everywhere I go and everything I do, I find myself thinking,"Hey, that would look cool in a level!", whether it be real life architecture, or pictures, or movies, or books, or whatever. There are cool ideas to be found everywhere, you just gotta be looking for them.
