Software-update: DirectX 9.0b TV-tuner hotfix

Op Rage3D en Neowin.net wordt melding gemaakt dat er problemen waren met DirectX 9.0b en verschillende TV-tuners die gebruik maken van NTSC-J, PAL en SECAM. Microsoft heeft hiervoor een hotfix uitgebracht met 825116 als knowledge base artikel. Het volgende wordt over deze hotfix gemeld:

Symptoms
After you install DirectX 9.0b, your NTSC-J, PAL, or SECAM-formatted TV tuner may no longer work correctly. For example, if you are using an ATI PAL capture card, the bundled software may no longer permit you to configure the tuner or to switch channels.

Resolution
