De ontwikkelaars van Syabas Technology hebben vrijdag nieuwe firmware vrijgegeven voor de Popcorn Hour C-200. Deze zogenoemde Networked Media Tank kan audio en video vanaf de optionele harde schijf afspelen. Maar ook zonder harde schijf is het apparaat goed te gebruiken, want dan kan content vanaf een nas-systeem of een computer worden gestreamd. Het bijwerken van de firmware kan door het zipbestand naar de root van een usb-geheugenstick uit te pakken en vervolgens vanuit het menu naar het bestand 'usbupdate.html' te browsen. Met de nieuwe firmware is ook een nieuwe versie van de NMT-apps beschikbaar gekomen. De lijst met veranderingen voor deze update ziet er als volgt uit:
