About the Role:

e are seeking a talented and versatile Scientific Programmer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative tooling that supports the embedding of methodologies at our partners in the high-tech industry. These methodologies are crucial in accelerating our partners' product development cycles, spanning from architecture and early design feedback to analyzing and diagnosing issues during operation. You will play a key role in applying academic research results to industry by creating scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement tooling solutions that integrate seamlessly with our partners' engineering environments.

2. Create demonstrators and prototypes from scratch using various technologies.

3. Analyze partners' needs and select appropriate technologies for each project.

4. Design and develop software solutions that enhance product development cycles at various stages. - Strong familiarity with coding standards and best practices is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of professional coding proficiency, with the ability to identify and resolve technical debt. - Experience in creating and driving technical improvement roadmaps is highly desirable.

5. Understand, integrate, and implement academic research results into practical, scalable industry solutions.

6. Collaborate with research fellows, team members, and partner stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

7. Continuously evaluate and improve existing tools and methodologies.

8. Stay up to date with the latest technological advancements, academic research, and industry trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

2. Proven experience in scientific programming and software development.

3. Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.

- Proficiency in Java, C++, and Python, with demonstrated experience of using these languages in production.

- Familiarity with one or more Domain-Specific Language technologies such as Xtext, Xtend, Lark, or Langium.

- Exposure to modeling formalisms state machines, Petri nets, logic based languages such as Z3, OCL and Prolog. - Working knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript/Typescript, React, etc. is a plus.

4. Experience in creating prototypes and demonstrators from concept to implementation.

5. Solid understanding of software development life cycles and best practices.

6. Ability to understand and apply academic research results to practical industry solutions.

7. Familiarity with high-tech industry product development processes is a plus.

8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

9. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

10. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
