De Mozilla Foundation heeft versie 0.5 van Sunbird uitgebracht. Sunbird is de op zichzelf staande kalenderapplicatie van Mozilla en vindt zijn oorsprong in de Mozilla Calendar Project-extensie. De kalender-extensie is overigens nog steeds voor de e-mailclient Mozilla Thunderbird beschikbaar onder de naam Lightning. Mozilla Sunbird is beschikbaar voor Linux, Mac OS X en Windows en wordt geleverd met de volgende release notes:
