Software-update: VueScan 8.3.16

Hamrick Software heeft gisteren VueScan een update gekregen naar versie 8.3.16. Dit programma kan worden gebruikt als vervanger van de bij de scanner meegeleverde twain-driver. Die is namelijk niet altijd in staat het onderste uit de kan te halen van een scanner. VueScan is nog geen 3MB groot, beschikbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux, en hoeft niet te worden geïnstalleerd om zijn werkt te kunnen doen. Het programma kan met ruim 400 scanners en 185 digitale camera's overweg. Het programma heeft vele geavanceerde opties aan boord. Om de OCR-mogelijkheden verder te verbeteren kan dit woordenboek, met daarin veelgebruikte woorden uit de Engelse, Franse en Nederlandse taal worden geïnstalleerd.
