Alles behalve DNS is op internet inmiddels encrypted, behalve DNS. “The Cloud” biedt nu aan onze DNS te coderen, maar wel met 24 uur logging in het buitenland. Is dat een goeie deal? En wat is beter?

Bert Hubert has a 20 year track record in commercial and open source software development. As part of the original team at Casema internet, he developed one of the first interactive service level monitoring applications. In 1999 he launched PowerDNS.COM to create an innovative database backed nameserver implementation, with global server load balancing applications. Today, the open source PowerDNS serves around 30% of all Internet domain names world wide. In addition, hundreds of millions of ISP subscribers are serviced by the PowerDNS Resolver. Together with Fox-IT Bert founded Fox Replay BV, acquired by NetScout and he contributed to DNA and evolution research at Delft University of Technology. In 2015, PowerDNS was acquired by Open-Xchange, a German supplier of communications and collaborations software, where Bertcontinues to work on an open and safe internet. |
