DDoS: protect your applications against Denial Of Service attacks
In the past decade, the focus of computer network professionals and vendors has shifted towards
Software Defined Networks (SDNs). In this workshop we will let you use SDNs to mitigate DDOS attacks. We will explain how SDNs enable cloud providers like Solvinity to operate and protect web applications. In this workshop we will let you have a hands-on experience in DDoS Mitigation based on Cumulus VX and sFlow-RT. We will explain how network traffic is manged with BGP and what options you have when you need to defend against DDoS attacks. We will also let you experience that it is important to correctly configure middleware such as webservers (apache and nginx).
