Presentation
Jamie will explain how and why we've entered a 'tech-lash' and where it might take us. He will cover his work investigating Cambridge Analytica for the BBC, current trends on the dark net, and politicians' views about automation and AI. He will argue that there's an incompatibility problem between modern technology and politics and suggest there's a risk we are entering into a new era of luddism. He will set out some ways to avoid this, ensuring people see and understand how tech works for them.
