Biography
Ghida is a quantitative engineer/data scientist in the edge infrastructure team at Facebook London. In this capacity, she builds data tools and models, and performs in depth analysis to help scale and optimize Facebook global network infrastructure. Prior to joining Facebook, Ghida worked for 6+ years in the Telco and media industries, in France and the Netherlands, in network analytics related roles. She holds a PhD and Masters in ICT engineering from Telecom ParisTech in France. Ghida is the founder of rafiqi.net, a platform that leverages AI for connecting refugees to opportunities, featured by Techcrunch as one of 25 most innovative new projects using tech to help refugees. She is passionate about bringing more people into data science and has delivered introductory workshops on the topic to 600+ domain outsiders in the Middle East, Europe and India. She is also currently working on developing the first MOOC on data science in Arabic, expected to reach 70000 learners in 2019. She is a selected member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network and Global Shapers Community.
