The Police
The Police are always there to make the Netherlands more safe and secure.
The Police protect democracy, they uphold the law and they have authority on the streets.
Wherever it is necessary, the Police offer a helping hand. In emergency situations they forcibly interfere. Where others step back, police officers step forwards, using force where necessary - possibly putting their lives at risk. The Police actively engage with citizens and partners.
The Police do so with an eye and an ear for what is important to the community and to society. The actions and the behaviour of the Police are always closely monitored. Working for the Police means being there 24 hours a day. The Police are there for everyone which is why the core values of the Police are being incorruptible, courageous, reliable and compassionate.
The meaning of ICT to the Police
Matters such as developing, BI, data science and cyber security are certainly a top priority for the Police. Everyone within our organisation makes a contribution to the successful implementation of Police tasks and duties, which is making the Netherlands safer, an important matter which certainly applies to the ICT staff members.
Smart ICT staff members are absolutely invaluable to the safety in the Netherlands, irrespective of whether it concerns digital investigations, repelling cyber-attacks, making data accessible or developing apps for colleagues on the street. Being well-educated, creative and motivated, they make a significant contribution together with hundreds of other ICT professionals.
