Irdeto's Conditional Access System (CAS) secures copyrighted media content in the broadcast industry. Broadcast piracy is a persistent issue, threatening revenue and intellectual property. This internship project involves analyzing large-scale subscriber datasets and developing machine learning models to detect suspicious patterns indicating potential piracy activity.
Your main responsibilities:
Prepare and merge datasets from multiple sources for analysis
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and candidate features
Develop and evaluate machine learning models for anomaly detection
Document your work to ensure reproducibility and knowledge transfer
What you will learn:
Applying machine learning algorithms to large-scale real-world datasets to solve an industrial problem
Collaborating with teams in data science, security, and engineering
Thesis supervision support (if applicable)
What we expect you will bring:
You are currently studying in the Netherlands, in the field of (computer) science and technology
Interest and experience in data analytics, data science, or machine learning
Programming skills in Python; experience with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/ PyTorch is a plus.
Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
