We are currently looking for a Web Developer to join our Automation & Control Team, part of the Systems Department.

Job Description

As a Web Developer in the Automation & Control Department, you will help develop innovative technical solutions and processes that enhance the performance, capabilities, and efficiency of our vessels and equipment. In this role, you will contribute to the conceptualisation, optimisation, and design of the control panels used on board. This includes everything from screen layout design to deciding whether equipment is operated via touchscreen, physical buttons, or joysticks.

What will you be working on?

• Developing and refining a house style/brand guide for onboard machines and equipment;
• Designing intuitive interfaces for systems used across our fleet;
• Creating HMI pages tailored to the needs of different user personas;
• Collaborating with internal clients and automation specialists to define system interactions;
• Developing reusable web components for our Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).

Education & Experience

• HBO Industrial Product Design or (preferably) a WO degree in Design for Interaction (DFI) or Integrated Product Design (IPD);
• Knowledge of/experience with developing HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces);
• Knowledge of/experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
• Enjoy programming and automating daily tasks.
