As Technical System Specialist responsible for multiple ciritcal assets of the DAF Mainframe infrastructure

DAF's Mainframe serves as the backbone of its IT landscape. All automation processes and data flows across departments such as Operations, Parts, Finance, and Logistics rely on the Mainframe. Together with your team, you are responsible for several critical components of the DAF Mainframe environment:

1. Analyze and resolve Mainframe incidents,
2. Provide support to departments for Mainframe-related inquiries and requests,
3. Manage interfaces related to file transfers and printing,
4. Develop solutions to enhance our administration- and automation systems, ensuring alignment with Mainframe applications and processes,
5. Maintain and manage the Mainframe databases,
6. Contribute to innovation and modernization initiatives to improve accessibility, stability, and future readiness of the Mainframe,
7. Participate in standby/on-call shifts.

Having knowledge of all tools and languages is not mandatory, it is a pre. However, We are looking for people who are not new in the mainframe world.

Your profile

You have a bachelor or master degree;

You have affinity with IT and like to fuel innovation;

You are interested to learn more about technical system management, database administration and software development;

You are eager to improve your technical skillset and have the ambition to keep learning (Mainframe knowledge is a pré);

You have a good sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude;

You have around between 5 years experience with within IT, experience with mainframe is a pre.

You are fluent in English and Dutch
