Cyber threats never stand still and neither do we. As a Security Analyst, you are on the front line of Heerema's cyber defense, protecting our global IT and OT.

Your role in the story:

You are a member of Heerema's Cyber Defense Center (CDC).

Working closely with the IT & Digital teams, you analyse, triage, and respond to cybersecurity events and incidents(SOC Tier 3-4). You investigate complex cases, support incident containment and recovery. And help ensure Heerema remains secure in a global, high‑impact operational environment.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on cybersecurity professional who thrives on technology, investigation, and continuous improvement.

What you will be working on:

• Participating in cybersecurity incident investigations on a rotational basis
• Creating, maintaining, and improving incident response playbooks and procedures
• Being available on a rotational 24/7 on‑call schedule for major cybersecurity incidents
• Acting as the first technical point of contact for one or more cybersecurity solutions
• Ensuring assigned security tools function correctly
• Maintaining clear documentation for use by CDC and IT colleagues
• Supporting the implementation of new cybersecurity solutions
• Contributing to preventive measures

Key ingredients for success:

• HBO or WO degree; security certifications such as CISSP or equivalent are preferred
• At least 4 years of experience in IT, with demonstrable experience in cybersecurity, incident response, and security tooling operations
• Strong technical background in security tooling, including log analysis, firewall configurations, and common security platforms
• Experience working with information security frameworks
• Strong analytical skills
• Clear communication skills
• Proactive mindset
