Your Mission

You will help shape the foundation on which our software is built and delivered. As a Platform Engineer, you enable development teams to work efficiently and reliably by providing strong platform capabilities, automation, and self-service tooling.

We are currently in a mixed infrastructure landscape and are actively moving towards an Azure-first platform. You will play an important role in this continuous modernisation and simplification transition, while growing your own skills towards senior and lead platform roles.

What You'll Do

You will be part of a platform-focused team responsible for building and improving the shared infrastructure and tooling used by our development teams.

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform services with a strong focus on Azure.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to support reliable, frequent releases.
• Create self-service platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, and scalability through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with software engineers to understand their needs and translate them into effective platform solutions.

Your Skills & Experience

You are a hands-on engineer who loves automation and infrastructure, takes ownership, and thrives in a team. You have a can-do mentality, are strongly customer-focused, and continuously improve developer experience. You are eager to learn and grow into senior or lead platform roles, and are located in the Netherlands.

You bring:

• Solid professional experience working with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning and Pulumi experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• A good understanding of networking, infrastructure security, and access control.
• Experience with secrets management, secure pipelines, and security best practices.
• Scripting or programming skills for automation and platform development.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI to automate operations, enable development teams, and help build foundational AI capabilities for the organization.
• A collaborative mindset and focus on continuous improvement.

Additional Experience That Is A Plus

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Migration experience from AWS to Azure.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Experience contributing to or designing internal developer platforms.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
