Junior System Manager

The company:

Seatrade Groningen is one of the oldest and largest shipping companies in the Netherlands with 75 years of experience. Initially started with the transport of general cargo, now specialized in the transportation of deep-frozen fish, meat, and refrigerated cargo such as kiwis, avocados, and bananas with ships sailing worldwide. The management of the ships takes place from the office in Groningen, while the commercial activities are handled from the office in Breda.

Junior System Manager

The job:

If you become our new colleague, you will be part of an enthusiastic team and you will be responsible for:

• All occurring system management and helpdesk activities for Seatrade offices and agencies worldwide.
• Thinking along where new developments are concerned.
• Troubleshooting complex problems.
• Maintenance and continuity of the technical infrastructure and operational support.
• Maintaining adequate back- up, security, prevention and anti- virus facilities.
• Instructing users of the systems when required.

In this position, you are expected to be self-directed, proactive and have a desire to learn. In addition, you are service-oriented, accurate, organised and a problem solver.

The requirements:

• MBO Level 4.
• Good command of the English language, both verbal and in writing. Dutch and Spanish are considered advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of relevant systems (e.g. Citrix, MS Exchange, MS Office), telecom/ internet systems.
• Analytic, social and commercial skills.
• High-level computer skills.
• Team player.
• Able to work in compliance with our Seatrade Standards.
• Live in the vicinity of our office in Groningen.
• EU citizen or otherwise in possession of a Dutch work visa.
• Valid Driving license holder.
