QA Lead
Job description
Everything works better when quality is done right. At Codeless, your job is to define and implement QA strategy and standards. If quality improves, everything improves.
Testing is currently divided between development teams, QA, and Low Code Developers. While a lot is going well, ownership is fragmented and there is no single, consistent approach or shared view on quality across platform and customer delivery. We are looking for someone who will bring this together and take the lead.
Codeless and CodeX
We build and modernize complex business software for organizations with unique processes.
At the core of everything we deliver , sits CodeX , our in house Low Code platform. Our R&D team develops and improves CodeX. Our Low Code Developers use it to build customer applications efficiently and with high quality.
Your role as QA Lead
As QA Lead, you take end to end ownership of quality across CodeX and the way the platform is applied in customer projects. The focus is not on managing people, but on setting direction, making well founded choices, and ensuring those choices translate into consistent execution across teams.
The role operates at the intersection of platform development and Low Code delivery. It requires a strong vision on testing and development of workflows, combined with the ability to balance ambition with practical implementations.
There is real room to shape how quality is approached within Codeless. The expectations are clear: define the strategy together with management, translate it into concrete plans, and ensure measurable improvements.
What you will work on
You start by creating clarity across the current landscape. This means thoroughly analyzing how testing is currently organized across R&D, PD, QA, and Low Code Development, identifying gaps, overlaps, risks, and inefficiencies, and translating those insights into clear quality principles and concrete testing focus areas.
From there, you build direction.
Define a pragmatic QA and testing strategy
Align with Management on ambition level and investment
Set priorities, scope, and roadmap including expected impact and ROI
Then you make it real.
Design the initial setup and validate it through demos and proof of concepts
Select and implement tooling where it adds measurable value
Drive adoption through workshops and practical guidance
Coordinate testing activities across teams
Establish ownership, standards, and clear definitions of quality
Monitor progress and drive continuous improvement
The goal is to create a setup in which the quality of both platform and applications is measured daily and consistently reported, providing continuous insight and control.
Job requirements
You are a senior QA professional who combines strategic thinking with the ability to get things done.
Extensive experience in QA within complex software environments
Proven hands on experience with QA tooling and test automation frameworks, experience matters more than the specific tools
Experience defining and implementing QA strategies
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
Communicates decisions, priorities, and impact effectively to both technical teams and management
Ability to align teams and stakeholders around shared quality standards through collaborative leadership and effective teamwork
Pragmatic and result driven, with a clear focus on implementation
Fluent in English and minimally a basic understanding of Dutch
Residing in the Netherlands and able to join the team at our Dordrecht office on a 60/40 office/WfH basis (minimum)
A formal QA Lead title is not required. Senior QA Engineers with the ambition and skill set to take this responsibility are welcome to apply.
