What you'll do

As part of the Platforms team for Mobile, you will build and evolve the foundation that enables our mobile feature teams to move fast with confidence. We develop and maintain the tooling, frameworks, and shared components that power the iOS and Android apps used daily by hundreds of thousands of Eneco and Oxxio customers.

Our apps are built using Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform, and our platform supports everything from CI/CD pipelines and observability to cross-platform reusable UI components, shared libraries, repository tooling, and developer automation. Your work will directly improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience across all mobile teams, enabling us to deliver high-quality features that support customers in their energy transition and contribute to Eneco's climate-neutral goal for 2035.

Is this about you?

• Experience designing and maintaining shared libraries, frameworks, or platform-level tooling (CI/CD pipelines, build systems, automation, developer tooling, etc.)

• Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns (e.g., Clean Architecture, modularization) and their impact on scalability, ideally in a monorepo or multi-module setup

• Strong experience with Kotlin, and solid knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)

• Experience improving developer experience, (optimizing build performance, dependency management, testing strategies, or release processes)

• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams, influence technical standards, and translate developer pain points into scalable solutions

You'll be responsible for

• Design, build, and own shared mobile platform capabilities such as CI/CD pipelines, release tooling, automation, and observability frameworks.

• Develop and evolve reusable libraries and UI components in Compose Multiplatform and Kotlin multiplatform to ensure consistency, scalability, and high engineering standards across iOS and Android.

• Collaborate closely with feature teams to identify friction points and translate them into scalable, self-service platform solutions.

• Drive reliability and quality by iterating on our monitoring, crash reporting, and performance measurement standards across mobile apps.

• Shape architectural decisions and continuously evolve the mobile platform strategy to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.

You are part of a platform team where you will work closely together with colleagues from many disciplines, including architecture, site reliability, backend, data and AI, and management to ensure you will make the best impact. Together, we continuously evaluate how to improve our platforms, refactor where needed, and raise the engineering bar. Next to the usual team meetings (standup/refinement/planning/retrospective) per value stream team there are other get together moments to talk about non-work-related subjects, just to get to know each other on a different level!
