W h at will y ou b e doing?

As a Pr o curement Cos t Engineer, you will gather and analyze design- and cost data to build and maintain cost models for supporting Sales with budgets and build and maintain related should-cost models, compare these estimates with supplier quotes, and prepare reports to identify cost saving opportunities. Y o ur detailed c o st analy s is will support pr o cure m e nt negotiation s , and you w i ll c ontribute t o r efining co s t m o deling pr o cesses and to o ls.

• Gather and analyze cost-related data from various sources, including raw material prices, labor rates, and manufacturing processes to support the development of cost models and should-cost models at the component, assembly, or system level: - Perform cost maintenance and design related updates, on Computer Aided Pricing software tool (CAP) equipment records and track and report cost differences between product lifecycle milestones re c ords - (Current state) It e m selecti o n for CAP re c ords
• Build and maintain detailed (should) cost models including cost drivers of current and future products and services that provide insights into the theoretical minimum costs for products and services, with input from technology information
• Maintain and set-up equipment cost calculations in Computer Aided Cost Estimation software tool (Facton EPC)
• Compare should-cost estimates with supplier quotes and market prices, and prepare reports highlighting discrepancies and potential cost-saving opportunities
• Provide detailed cost analysis to support procurement negotiations with suppliers, helping to achieve favorable terms and cost reductions. Be an active member of the procurement negotiation team with suppliers
• Contribute to the refinement of cost modeling processes and tools, suggesting improvements based on feedback and evolving business needs
• Add value to Value Engineering and DFX projects by providing should cost estimations or cost drivers for mechanical and/or electrical equipment during the development phases

• P r oficien c y in d a t a l a nguages ( e . g., SQ L , P y thon, R) a n d anal y tics t o ols, c apable of e x t r a cting and i n t er p r e t i ng c om p l e x d a t a s e ts t o ide n ti f y t r e n ds, p a t t erns, a n d insi g h ts for further cost modelling and forecasting
• P r oficien c y in d a t a visual i z a tion t ools (e . g., P o w er BI, T ableau, E x cel) t o e f f e cti v e l y c ommu n i c a t e finan c ial and c o s t insig h t s. Set scope and find internal support at other departments, in putting together reporting & visualization
• Abili t y t o in d epende n tly h andle a d- hoc c o s t engineering and anal y sis r eq u e s ts alo n gside the c r e a tion of r ecur r ing r ep orts
• Proven experience in translating technological design data into financial cost data and being able to determine cost drivers, using known cost engineering techniques
• Knowledge / experience in cost engineering (CE) and value engineering (VE)
• Proven experience in Data Management (JDE, and Enovia) & Tools (Computer Aided Cost Estimation Software (Facton EPC) and/or CAP)

What do we offer?

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 5.000 to € 6.700 per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
