As a Data Platform Engineer in the Data Factory Platform team within the Risk Department of NN Bank, you design, build, and maintain scalable data platform solutions on Azure. You work with technologies such as Azure ADLS, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Terraform. Together with cross-functional teams, you develop and implement data-driven solutions that directly support business and regulatory needs, ensuring reliable and high‑quality data for the Bank's key processes.

What you are going to do

Together with your colleagues, you maintain and further develop the Data Factory Azure Platform according to best practices, ensuring it is as efficient to use as possible. Your focus includes infrastructure, automation and orchestration, monitoring, performance optimization, and full alignment with security and compliance standards. By developing, introducing, and automating new components, you deliver solutions you can be proud of and create a solid foundation for future developments. This aligns with the organization's digital transformation journey, and a key milestone for 2026 is the migration to the OneBankDAP infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data platform solutions on Azure cloud using tools like Azure ADLS, Azure Databricks, ADF, and Terraform
• Configure and optimize cloud-based data storage and processing solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot data platform solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and cloud computing
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies

• Salary between €4,547 and €6,496 based on 40 hours/week, depending on your knowledge and experience
• 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary
• 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week and one Diversity Day

Who you are

You are a passionate platform engineer with a strong background in Azure cloud services, and you have the consultancy mindset to always keep learning, improving and identifying opportunities and take actions. You are a real team player with a hands-on attitude and flexibility to deal with changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or something line with the previous
• >5 years of experience in data engineering
• Proficiency in deploying and managing Azure services, virtual networks, storage solutions, and security mechanisms
• Strong experience in designing and building data platform solutions on Azure cloud using tools like Azure ADLS, Azure Databricks, ADF and Terraform
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and/or Spark and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Nice to have: Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps Engineer are preferred

Who you will work with

You act as the bridge between NN Group IT and these teams, driving cost‑saving initiatives and promoting standardization across the platform. You collaborate closely with Security and Non‑Financial Risk teams to ensure the infrastructure meets all security and regulatory requirements. You contribute by automating controls and monitoring processes to maintain a secure and compliant environment.

Finally, you work alongside the central platform teams that provide shared services like CDAAS and the NN Data Analytics Platform. You are also part of the Data Engineering Guild, where you connect with, learn from, and collaborate with data engineers across multiple departments within NN Group.
