As a Cloud Operations Manager for our Application Operations (Technical Application Operations) team, you play a key role in the hosting and operational continuity of Exact products used by hundreds of thousands of users. These products run in our multi cloud environments on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You lead a team of approximately 10 specialists responsible for keeping these customer facing applications stable, secure, performant, and continuously available.

Across Cloud Operations, we support more than 25 different products and workloads, serving over 700,000 users. Ensuring that each of these SaaS and cloud hosted products runs reliably at scale requires strong coordination, clear ownership, and world class operational execution.

Our Cloud Operations organization consists of around 60 colleagues across Delft, Utrecht, Kuala Lumpur and Bangalore, working together to deliver a robust and resilient hosting platform for our customers. Within this structure, two core teams collaborate closely: Infra Operations and Application Operations. This vacancy specifically applies to the Application Operations team operating from Delft and Utrecht.

• The Infra Operations team provides and maintains the cloud foundation on which all customer environments run: provisioning virtual machines, handling deployments, ensuring platform availability, and maintaining the underlying cloud infrastructure.
• The Application Operations team, your team, focuses on the application layer powering our customer facing products: monitoring application behavior, optimizing performance, managing configuration, and executing application updates where automation is not yet in place.

Together, the two teams ensure seamless end to end operations across infrastructure, platform, and application layers, enabling a reliable and scalable hosting landscape for all Exact customers. Currently, the Application Operations team does not participate in the formal stand by rotation. However, as our product landscape grows in complexity, scale, and business criticality, availability outside regular office hours will become a key expectation for ensuring uninterrupted hosting quality. In this role, you'll help shape how this responsibility is introduced and managed effectively.

You'll also work intensively with fellow Cloud Operations Managers in Delft, Utrecht, and Kuala Lumpur to align priorities, coordinate incident and problem management across time zones, and safeguard operational excellence throughout the global hosting landscape. Your leadership brings clarity, structure, and calm confidence - especially during escalations, performance challenges, or customer impacting events.

• You combine operational leadership with solid technical understanding.
• Experience leading Application Operations or Technical Application Management teams in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS services, hosting patterns, monitoring, logging, and availability management.
• Hands on experience with operational tooling such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, AWS CloudWatch, and related platforms.
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure operations teams across regions and time zones.
• The ability to translate functional requirements into technical and operational activities.
• Strong communication skills and a structured approach to prioritizing operational work.
• A proactive, improvement driven mindset focused on automation and operational excellence, especially in customer facing cloud environments.
