About the role:

As a Linux and application administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of our Linux-based systems and servers. You will also look after various applications within the IT landscape, ensuring they are maintained and updated. You'll work closely with our IT services team to ensure high availability, security, and performance across our infrastructure.

This role offers a hybrid working model, combining the benefits of on-site collaboration with the freedom of remote work. You'll enjoy the energy and teamwork that comes from being in the office while also having the flexibility to work from home when it suits you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support existing Linux systems and servers.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Apply patches, updates, and security configurations to systems and applications.
• Configuration management with Puppet.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects.
• Ensure system backups and disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Document system configurations and procedures.

Profile

• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Debian, Ubuntu, Suse).

• Experience with virtualization / containerization (e.g.,Docker VMware).

• Familiarity with networking protocols and security best practices.

• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Fluent in English.
